We are back online. Although we are certainly not out of the water yet. As we type they are demolishing our finished basement. Soon it will be unfinished once again. Unfortunately we lost a lot under about 4 feet of water. Washer/Dryer gone. Treadmill gone. Couch, bed, chairs. Gone. Irreplaceable photographs. Gone. We didn't get power restored until late yesterday evening. We didn't have heat back until this afternoon. We still don't know if we should drink the water or even attempt to flush a toilet with the amount of water in our septic system. I guess the good news is that we are safe and while we lost a lot, there were others that were much more unfortunate than we were.
Thats about it for now. Sorry for the somber post but thats how we are feeling right now.
